In July 2018, ten beautiful souls from GUST University traveled to the Al-Hosen Village, as part of their internship program to build a nursery that is completely made of natural materials. We decided to start this project to tackle the need of the local community, where mothers couldn’t work around the village due to a lack of safe child care facilities. The nursery will provide mothers with a space to keep their children, as well as provide more work opportunities for women.

They got to witness firsthand what it’s like to live in a village that is self-sustainable for generations. We took the goat and cattle through the forest to graze, milked the goat, and tasted the fresh goat milk – literally from udder to glass.
