ABOUT COSTA RICA

Costa Rica is a small but mighty country located in Central America, known for its stunning natural beauty, incredible wildlife, and warm, friendly people. With miles of pristine beaches, lush rainforests, and towering volcanoes, Costa Rica is a nature-lover’s paradise.

One of the most unique things about Costa Rica is its commitment to conservation and sustainability. This tiny nation is home to over 5% of the world’s biodiversity, and the government has made it a top priority to protect the country’s natural resources. As a result, you’ll find countless national parks and protected areas throughout the country, where you can witness some of the most spectacular flora and fauna on the planet.

During your visit to Costa Rica, you’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the country’s most iconic destinations. You’ll spend time at Macaw Lodge, a sustainable eco-lodge nestled in the heart of the rainforest, where you can learn about permaculture and traditional Mesoamerican steam baths.

You’ll also visit the stunning Pacuare River Lodge, located on the banks of the Pacuare River, where you can experience the thrill of whitewater rafting and soak up the beauty of the surrounding rainforest.

In addition to these incredible destinations, you’ll also have the chance to explore the beaches of Jaco and the indigenous communities of the Bribri reservation, where you can learn about the country’s rich cultural history.

Overall, Costa Rica is a magical place that will capture your heart and leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated. Whether you’re a nature lover, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for a break from the stresses of daily life, Costa Rica is the perfect destination for you.

THE NATURE

Costa Rica is known for its incredible biodiversity and natural beauty. From lush rainforests to stunning beaches, this small Central American country has it all. One of the most notable features of Costa Rica’s nature is its incredible wildlife. With over 500,000 different species, Costa Rica is home to some of the most diverse animal and plant life in the world. You might spot a toucan or a scarlet macaw perched in a tree, or catch a glimpse of a sloth lazily hanging from a branch. You might hear the roar of a howler monkey echoing through the forest or spot a troop of capuchin monkeys jumping from tree to tree. And that’s just the beginning. Costa Rica is also home to jaguars, tapirs, ocelots, and a variety of snakes, lizards, and frogs, as well as countless species of birds, butterflies, and insects.

But it’s not just the wildlife that makes Costa Rica’s nature so special. The country’s landscapes are equally stunning, from the towering volcanoes that rise above the clouds to the tranquil rivers and waterfalls that flow through the forests. Costa Rica is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with crystal-clear waters and white sand stretching as far as the eye can see. And let’s not forget about the stunning sunsets, which light up the sky in hues of pink, orange, and purple.

In addition to its natural beauty, Costa Rica is also a leader in conservation efforts. The country has set aside over 25% of its land as protected areas, including national parks, wildlife reserves, and biological corridors. These areas are home to a huge variety of flora and fauna, and provide vital habitats for endangered species. So when you visit Costa Rica, not only will you be treated to some of the most incredible natural wonders on the planet, but you’ll also be supporting a country that is dedicated to preserving them for generations to come.

WHAT TO EXPECT
