Kyrgyzstan, a landlocked country nestled in the heart of Central Asia, is a treasure trove of rich history and vibrant culture. With a heritage that dates back to ancient times, Kyrgyzstan has been influenced by various civilizations, including the Mongols, Turks, Persians, and Russians. Its nomadic past has left an indelible mark on its culture, with traditional customs, music, and crafts still preserved by the Kyrgyz people today.

Exploring Kyrgyzstan offers a unique cultural experience, with opportunities to interact with local families, learn about their customs, and indulge in delicious traditional cuisine. The Kyrgyz people have a rich heritage of oral traditions, folklore, and craftsmanship, including intricate felted textiles, intricate embroidery, and unique musical instruments. From experiencing the thrill of horseback riding across breathtaking landscapes to immersing oneself in the fascinating culture and history of the Kyrgyz people, exploring Kyrgyzstan promises to be a truly enriching and unforgettable adventure.

With its towering mountains, lush valleys, and sparkling lakes, this Central Asian gem is a playground for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike. Kyrgyzstan’s diverse landscapes offer endless opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, and camping, promising heart-pounding adventures and unforgettable experiences.

But it’s not just about the thrills – Kyrgyzstan’s natural beauty is simply awe-inspiring. From snow-capped peaks that touch the sky to turquoise lakes nestled among dramatic mountain ranges, the landscapes will leave you breathless. Wildlife enthusiasts will also be thrilled by the chance to spot rare species like the elusive snow leopard and golden eagles in their natural habitat. Kyrgyzstan’s nature is a playground of excitement and beauty, beckoning you to embark on an unforgettable adventure that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.

You will have the option to stay in a tent or a Yurt. Two people will share the tent, and 5 people will share the yurt. Sleeping in a traditional Kyrgyz yurt is a highlight for many travelers, you will sleep on mats on the ground with blankets piled on top. We will recommend bringing your sleeping bag for hygiene reasons. Toilets are outside, so be sure to have a headlamp with you to navigate there at night.

Most of the meals on this experience are home-cooked and provided by a yurt camp. These traditional Kyrgyz meals usually include some sort of meat (often mutton) served with potatoes, rice, or homemade noodles. Fresh bread rounds are also a must at every meal and you’ll often find homemade jams and traditional sour cream to go with this.

Please let us know if you are a vegetarian or vegan, or if you have food allergies; we will be happy to cook a special meal for you.

There are clean mountain springs along the trail where we can refill water bottles. Also, during our stay in the yurts, they will provide boiled water at night so you can drink it the next day.
